7月13日(土)に「ゆかたを着て歩こう」を行いました。3カ国14名の方が参加しました。
We held "Try on a Yukata and Walk Around!" on July 13th, Saturday. 14 people from 3 countries joined.
折り紙でペンギンを作ってうちわに貼り付けて、ゆかたを着たら、外へ！
They made their own paper fans (uchiwa) with penguins out of origami, put on a yukata, and went outside!
A yukata is a simple kimono for summer season.
Are you interested in putting on a yukata with the help of volunteers? If you don’t have a yukata, we can rent you one for 500 yen.
After you are set and make your own fan (uchiwa) with origami, let’s enjoy walking around the Sousei River (Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade if it rains) with volunteers!
Date: July 13, 2024 (Sat.). 10:00 a.m. - noon
Venue: Sapporo International Communication Plaza Foundation (MN Bldg. 3F, Kita 1 Nishi 3-3)
Target participants: Foreign nationals (Children OK）
Capacity: About 20 women and 6 men
Fee: 500 yen as cleaning fee
* The number and sizes of yukata are limited.
* First-come-first-served basis from 10:00 a.m.
* We can dress you up for FREE if you bring your own yukata.
* Please come wearing T-shirt, and short pants or leggings.
* Sandals look good with a yukata.
5月25日に天神山緑地へ行きました。6カ国16名が参加し、ボランティア7名が案内をしました。オブザーバーのボランティア4名も参加しました。
We visited the Tenjinyama Park on May 25th. 7 volunteers guided 16 participants from 6 countries in the park. 4 volunteers also joined as observers.
「アンパン道路」を歩いて出発。この道路を作る時、陸軍が滞在していて、兵員たちが工事を手伝いました。工事の間、人々は兵員たちに「アンパン」を与えました。「アンパン」とは、中に「あん」が入っている菓子パンです。この話が、この道が「アンパン道路」と呼ばれる理由です。
We started the tour from “Anpan Road”. When this road was constructed, the army was stationed and the soldiers helped people with their work. During the construction, people gave soldiers “Anpan”. “Anpan” is a kind of bread with red bean paste inside. This story is why this road is called “Anpan Road”.
Tenjinyama Park in Toyohira Ward is home to Hokkaido’s oldest wisteria tree, which is over 200 years old. After viewing the wisteria flowers and touring the Tenjinyama Art Studio inside the park, we will have a meetup on the lawn.

樹齢200年の藤の花を見に行こう！
2月25日に札幌国際プラザで「ひなまつり」を行いました。外国人と日本人合わせて9名が来場し、水引細工・茶道体験・折り紙・日本のおもちゃの各ワークショップを楽しみました。
We held Doll Festival at Sapporo International Communication Plaza on February 25th. A total of 9 people, including foreigners and Japanese, came and enjoyed mizuhiki, tea ceremony, origami and traditional Japanese toys.
