[Report] Doll Festival at Sapporo International Communication Plaza

2月25日に札幌国際プラザで「ひなまつり」を行いました。外国人と日本人合わせて9名が来場し、水引細工・茶道体験・折り紙・日本のおもちゃの各ワークショップを楽しみました。

We held Doll Festival at Sapporo International Communication Plaza on February 25th. A total of 9 people, including foreigners and Japanese, came and enjoyed mizuhiki, tea ceremony, origami and traditional Japanese toys.

Doll Festival (hina-matsuri) is held at Sapporo International Communication Plaza on Sunday, February 25.
Hina-matsuri is an annual celebration held on March 3rd with wishes for the healthy growth and happiness of girls.

「ひなまつり」を札幌国際プラザで2月25日(日)に行います。
「ひなまつり」は毎年3月3日に行われる、女の子のすこやかな成長と幸せを祈るおまつりです。

Program

・Mizuhiki (Japanese knot-tying) Workshop / 水引細工
No reservation required. 20 people on a first-come-first served basis. International guests are given priority. Material fee of 300 yen is required.

・Tea Ceremony Experience / 茶道体験

No reservation required. 20 people on a first-come-first served basis. International guests are given priority. Free.

[Report] Takino Suzuran Hillside Park Snowshoe Tour

2月3日(土)、9カ国・地域から子供を含む23名が参加して、「滝野すずらん丘陵公園スノーシューツアー」を行いました。公園の職員2名とボランティア4名がご案内しました。

On Saturday, February 3rd, 23 people, including children, from nine countries and regions participated in the "Takino Suzuran Hillside Park Snowshoe Tour". Two park staff and four volunteers guided the tour.

この日は朝までに20センチの雪が降ったそうで、新雪の上をスノーシューで歩くことができました。

20 cm of snow had fallen by morning that day, and we were able to walk on the fresh snow with snowshoes.

林の中を抜けると、見晴らしの良い眺望が広がりました。

As we passed through the forest, we were greeted with a spectacular view.

スノーシューを楽しんだ後は、チューブそりへ。なかなかのスピードが出ました！

We enjoyed the tube sledding after the snowshoeing. The sled went very fast!
