[Event] 5/13(Sat.) Go cherry-viewing in the Nakajima Park

Why don't you walk around the Nakajima Park with citizen volunteers during the beautiful spring season?

After 1-hour tour of introducing the park’s history and buildings, we enjoy “ohanami” under the double-flowered cherry blossoms (yae-zakura).

Yae-zakura blooms around the period somei-yoshino finishes. Its blossoms are double-flowered and the color is darker than the one of single-flowered blossoms, which is beautiful.

花がきれいな春の中島公園を、市民ボランティアと一緒に歩きませんか？

公園の歴史や建物の紹介をする1時間のツアーの後、ヤエザクラの下で「お花見」をします。
ヤエザクラはソメイヨシノの開花が終わる頃から咲きます。花は八重咲きで色が一重の桜より濃くて美しいです。

[Report] Takino Suzuran Hillside Park Snowshoe Tour

4カ国6名の参加者と3名のボランティアが滝野すずらん丘陵公園でスノーシューとチューブそりを楽しみました。2名の公園職員の方に案内してもらいました。

6 participants from 4 countries and 3 volunteers enjoyed snowshoeing and tube sledding in the Takino Suzuran Hillside Park. 2 park staffs guided us.

その日の朝まで雪がたくさん降っていたので、道はふわふわで、スノーシューで歩くのには最適でした。

Because the snow was falling heavily until the morning, the roads were fluffy and good for walking with the snowshoes.

アシリベツの滝は6割ぐらい凍っていました。

About 60% of the Ashiribetsu Waterfall was frozen.

スノーシューツアーの後、プッチそりを楽しみました。

After the snowshoe tour, we enjoyed the mini tube sledding.

滝野すずらん丘陵公園ではスキーや歩くスキー、200mの長さのチューブそりもあって、雪遊びをするのにおすすめです。

You can also enjoy skiing, cross-country skiing and 200-meter-long tube sledding there. 

The Takino Suzuran Hillside Park is one of the best parks in Sapporo for playing in the snow.

[Event] 1/21(Sat.)Takino Suzuran Hillside Park Snowshoe Tour

Enjoy a winter walking tour for non-Japanese people with citizen volunteers in the Takino Suzuran Hillside Park. After about an hour long walk, the tour will enjoy tube sledding.

Date & Time: Jan. 21, 2023 (Sat.) 9:40-12:00

Venue: Takino Suzuran Hillside Park

Meeting time: 9:40

Meeting place: Ticket gate at Makomanai station [N16], Subway Namboku Line

*We will take the bus which departs at 9:45 from the #2 bus stop at Makomanai station.

*Coming by car is also OK. Please park at the Keiryu-guchi Parking Area, and come to the Suzuran-Koen Keiryu-guchi Bus Stop by 10:10.

Participation Fee: Free

*Bus fare or parking fee at your own expense.

[Report]札幌大学留学生交流会「もちつき大会」に参加してきました

12月3日(土)に札幌大学で行われた留学生交流会「もちつき大会」にメンバー8名が参加し、お正月遊びと折り紙を紹介しました。

ついたお餅は持ち帰って美味しく頂きました。

[Report] Walk Tour of Beautiful Nakajima Park with Autumn Leaves

 10月29日(土)に「紅葉の中島公園散策」を行いました。3カ国7名の方が参加し、ボランティア6名がご案内しました。

We held "Walk Tour of Beautiful Nakajima Park with Autumn Leaves" on October 29th, Saturday. 7 participants from 3 countries and 6 volunteers walked around the Nakajima Park.

ボランティアが公園の歴史や建物について説明しました。公園中央にある池は貯木場の跡です。

The volunteers explained about the park's history and buildings. The pond in the middle of the park is the site of the old lumberyard.

 

日本庭園の紅葉も見事でした。

The autumn leaves in the Japanese garden were also spectacular.

キツネも紅葉を楽しんでました。

A fox enjoyed the autumn leaves.

最後は彌彦神社にお参りしました。

We visited the Yahiko Shrine at the end of the tour.

七五三のお子さんはいませんでしたが、ボランティアの一人が七五三用の着物を持ってきてくれました。

There were no children who celebrated the shichi-go-san, a traditional event to celebrate the healthy growth of children, one of the volunteers brought special kimonos for the shichi-go-san.

中島公園は1年中楽しめる公園です。ぜひ行ってみてください。
