「雪を楽しもう！Joy to the Snow World!」中止のお知らせ

2月27日(土)に予定していた「雪を楽しもう！」は
申込者が少なく、大通公園の雪質も良くないため、中止にいたします。

"Joy to the Snow World!" on Feb. 27th is cancelled due to few applicants and bad snow condition in the Odori Park.

2月11日、おもてなしウィークの最終日に、第24回ひな祭りの集いが開催されました。
The 24th Hina-matsuri party was held on the very last day of the Omotenashi week.

着物着付けの体験がありました。着物を着るのは初めて、という方もいらっしゃり、楽しんでいただけたようで我々もうれしかったです。みなさん、お似合いでしたよ。
Visitors wear kimono. We are delighted as we could offer the first experience of wearing kimono for many our guests. You all look great in kimono!




茶道体験、日本の伝統的な遊び、折り紙の体験もしていただきました。わたしたち、ボランティアグループのイベントでは、定番のアクティビティーですが、いつも人気があります。ますます多くの方に、親しんでいただきたいと思っています。
Variety of experiences such as tea ceremony, traditional Japanese toys and origami were provided. We regularly offer these activities in our events, and a lot of participants always enjoyed them. We hope more people get to know these cultural activities better.

特別プログラムとして、英語落語やお琴の演奏など、日本の芸能を楽しんでいただきました。演奏会の後には、お越しいただいた方の中から4名に、実際にお琴に触っていただき、きらきら星を演奏してもらいました。みなさん、感激されていました。
We had two special programs of comic stories in English, and Koto, Japanese harp performance. After the concert, we invited four persons amongst audience to actually play koto. After a short lesson, they could play “Twinkle, twinkle, little star!” together. They looked so delighted.

「おもてなしウィーク」

札幌国際プラザで「おもてなしウィーク」が始まり、6日(土)と7日(日)は特別プログラムを行いました。
OMOTENASHI Week has started at the Sapporo International Communication Plaza, and we had special programs on the 6th (Saturday) and 7th (Sunday).

茶道体験と鳥獣人物戯画を描く体験は二日とも行いました。
Experiencing tea ceremony and drawing the Choju-jinbutsu-giga (literally “Animal-person Caricatures”) were provided both days.

Higashi (dried sweets with tea) were a pine needle and snow crystal.

Choju-giga is the roots of Japanese manga.

土曜には、日本舞踊と詩吟の披露がありました。
Japanese traditional dance and Japanese poetry reading were on Saturday.

You can express many things with a Japanese folding fan (sense).

Everyone enjoyed the bon festival dance (bon odori) in a circle last.

Audience sang a phrase of a Japanese folk song, Kurodabushi, together. 

日曜には江戸芸かっぽれと英語落語の披露がありました。

11日（木・祝）は特別イベント「ひな祭り」です。

折り紙、茶道体験、着物の着付け、英語落語、箏の演奏と体験があります。

皆さまのお越しをお待ちしています。

We have another special event "hinamatsuri" (doll festival) on the 11th (Thursday/holiday).

You can enjoy origami, tea ceremony, kimono-wearing, rakugo in English and koto (Japanese harp).

We are looking forward to seeing all of you!

2月27日(土)「雪を楽しもう！Joy to the Snow World!」を行います

2月27日(土)に新企画「雪を楽しもう！」を行います。
雪に囲まれた大通公園にある彫刻を見ながら歩いたあと、手作りのそりで遊んだり雪だるまを作ったりします。
大人も子供も、多くのご参加をお待ちしています。

We are preparing a new event "Joy to the Snow World!" on February 27th (Saturday).
We will tour sculptures on a walk through snow-covered Odori Park, and then play with handmade sleds and make snowmen.
We hope many of all ages will join us for the fun!

2月5日〜11日「おもてなしウィーク」を行います

雪まつり期間中の2月5日(金)〜11日(木・祝）、札幌国際プラザでは「おもてなしウィーク」を開催します。毎日、折り紙のレッスンやお茶のサービスがあります。
We hold ”Omotenashi Week” everyday during the Snow Festival from February 5 (Fri.) to 11 (Thu./holiday) at the Sapporo International Communication Plaza. During this week we offer origami lessons and serve tea each day.
